World Cup, Iran: Day 4

Buxton/Rey

Today our focus was on weight management during our afternoon workout. We weigh in at 6pm tomorrow and everyone is in good shape and will make weight with ease. The focus is good and everyone looks forward to our upcoming matches.

I gave you some inaccurate information on the schedule. We have a bye first round and then wrestle Georgia which will end session 1. In session 2 we will wrestle Russia and Azeberjian. There will be the final matches on Friday. There will be some exciting matches throughout the tournament.

Most of my day was watching video and working on scouting opponents for Thursday’s upcoming matches. I think the guys are catching up on their sleep. We still are being treated well by everyone and they are taking precautions to keep us safe. We are on the western side of the country, about 100 miles from Iraq. Kermanshah is about 2000 years old with much history.

I was looking through some of the previous results from the world cup; Russia and the former Soviet Union have the most titles and Iran has won 5 in a row.
