Resident athlete Zach Rey and LVWC Head Coach Jeff Buxton are overseas for the holiday in Baku, Azerbaijan. Zach will be competing in the Golden Grand Prix Finals and Buxton has been named the USA Freestyle Coach.

May 8, 2011- LVAC Athletes Steve Mocco and Keith Gavin both made the finals at the 2011 Pan Am Championships in Rionegro, Columbia. Mocco upended his Cuban opponent in the finals 1-0, 2-0 in dominant fashion. The Cuban didn’t come close to scoring as Steve controlled his opponent as well as the mat, after pinning in his first 3 bouts. (more…)

Ok, made it down here ok. 3 hour flight from Miami. Flew into Medellin and hotel is like 1 mile from airport. Place is very nice and the food is great (so is coffee) so I can’t complain one bit. Competition venue is like 20 minutes away and weigh-ins are tomorrow at 6:30pm. (more…)
